Job summary

Riot Games in Singapore is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, 3D, to build tools that compress the tedious, technical parts of the 3D pipeline so modelers and environment artists can stay in the creative loop and produce great 3D work faster.

You’ll work with 3D modelers to shorten topologies and texturing steps, define evaluations for geometric accuracy, and push state‑of‑the‑art 3D ML in production constraints.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field with ML focus.
• 3D specialization in 3D ML: mesh/geometry methods, implicit representations (SDFs, NeRF, Gaussian splatting), point-cloud learning, neural rendering, differentiable rendering.
• At least 5 years of experience applying ML to real-world 3D problems and delivering end-to-end ML solutions.
• Evidence of work on state-of-the-art approaches via publications or shipped projects.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, or C#, and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Strong statistical analysis, experimental design, and evaluation skills.
• Hands-on experience with Generative Models for 3D data applied to artist tools.

Responsibilities

• Build assistive 3D tooling using geometry methods, implicit representations, neural rendering, and UV/texturing.
• Collaborate with 3D modelers and artists to target expensive steps and ship tooling.
• Define and run evaluations for 3D results and quantify time saved for artists.
• Follow developments in 3D ML and assess production/runtime feasibility.
