Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment across multiple sites. You will use digital analytics to troubleshoot, diagnose issues, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on complex systems.

You will work under the guidance of Senior Field Service Engineers, coordinate with customers to ensure minimal downtime, and travel up to 75% to support overseas clients while meeting safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 2+ years in customer support, field service, or related engineering/technical role.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers in installing, maintaining, and upgrading customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and addressing issues.
• Follow guidance from Senior Field Service Engineers to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
