Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a SEM technician for the YE lab under Technology Development. You will operate and maintain SEMs, prepare samples for SEM, and support NAND development with a strong attention to detail.

You will collaborate with process engineers, troubleshoot tool issues, and explore AI-based image analysis and automation to enhance lab operations. Roles may require rotating shifts and potential learning in AI/data analytics.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• Good understanding of FAB process steps: wet etch, dry etch, PVD, ALD, CMP.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Experience in SEM or FIB operation.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Ability to analyze problems and provide resolutions.
• MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote).
• Willing to work any shift on a rotating schedule.
• Basic AI/ML or data analytics concepts.
• Experience using AI-assisted image analysis or automated defect classification is an advantage.
• Familiarity with scripting, automation tools, or data visualization platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide SEM support for various technology nodes of NAND development.
• Interact with process/integration engineers on requests and priorities.
• Communicate with Micron team members and suppliers at all levels regarding tool issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate and implement AI-based SEM image processing and defect classification.
• Troubleshoot tool issues and optimize tool performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory operations through automation, ML, and process optimization.
