Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc is seeking a Security Systems Project Manager (Deputy Project Leader) to lead and oversee complex security installations for federal, local, and commercial clients. The role requires strong CPM scheduling, coordination with contractors, and clear communication across teams.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of related construction experience, plus proficiency in MS Office, Blue Beam, PDF, and Primavera P6. Travel to project locations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 5+ years of construction experience.
• Experience on projects from $500k to $10M.
• Familiarity with drawings, subcontracts, RFIs, and submittals.
• CPM scheduling knowledge and practice.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills; ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
• Maintain as-builts as work is completed.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Confer with owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss procedures and problems.
• Communicate with external parties representing the Company to clients and partners.
• Ensure timely RFIs and proper documentation of conversations.
