Security Systems Engineer: Configure, Test & Commission

Job summary

The Engineer role is responsible for executing projects assigned by the manager, including technical execution, configuration, testing, commissioning and maintenance of security system projects in Singapore, ensuring all systems are installed and operated in line with project requirements, manufacturer specifications and Singapore standards.

You will review project drawings, configure and program security platforms (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, Intercom, Visitor Management) and work

Qualifications

• Experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm and security management systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and system architecture.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP and VLANs.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and technical requirements.
• Perform system design review, equipment selection and technical coordination with project teams.
• Configure and program security systems including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, Intercom, Visitor Management, and related security platforms.
• Conduct equipment installation, system integration, testing and commissioning.
• Perform system troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and rectification for hardware, software, network and communication issues.
• Configure controllers, servers, workstations, databases, readers, cameras and other security devices.
• Carry out system integration with third‑party systems such as fire alarm, lift, BMS and other building management systems where required.
• Conduct site surveys and assess existing system infrastructure and technical requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation including system configuration, testing & commissioning records, as‑built information and operation manuals.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, vendors and specialist subcontractors on technical matters.
