Job summary

Astreya Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a Security Operations Leader to drive and coordinate security across edge and data center sites in Singapore. You will manage incidents, access controls, CCTV, and compliance efforts while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

The role emphasizes cross-functional coordination, process improvement, and security governance to protect facilities, assets, and information across regions and time zones.

Qualifications

  • Experience in security operations, physical security, compliance operations, or related infrastructure security environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and time zones in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems, tracking tools, spreadsheets, and operational dashboards.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and vendor management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement practical, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead security operations for edge and data center environments, ensuring alignment with company policies, operational standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of physical security policies, procedures, and operating controls.
  • Serve as a primary security operations point of contact for internal teams, external partners, site providers, and vendors.
  • Collect, review, and action reported incidents from data centers, warehouses, and edge sites.
  • Analyze alerts, incidents, and observed risks to identify potential security threats and elevate issues to appropriate incident response teams when required.
  • Maintain clear incident records, support follow-up actions, and drive closure of corrective actions.
  • Conduct incident and operational performance reviews with data center providers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external access requests for facilities and security-controlled systems.
  • Maintain and regularly audit access control lists, internal tickets, and permission management processes for physical and internal system access.
  • Administer authorized user records and support periodic reviews to ensure access remains appropriate and current.
  • Oversee CCTV and security camera management, including routine checks, issue tracking, and escalation of service concerns.
  • Perform log reviews and support audit readiness for security and compliance requirements.
  • Be au fait with safety standards for Edge environments - based on ISO45001.
  • Manage media handling and destruction processes, including disk sanitization verification, chain-of-custody tracking, and destruction vendor oversight.
  • Monitor bad media dashboards, destruction workflows, and related operational controls.
  • Support hardware decommissioning, RMA, and migration activities from a security perspective.
  • Partner with Operations, Logistics, Compliance, Incident Response, and Engineering teams to support secure site operations.
  • Review infrastructure maintenance notices, assess operational impact, and follow up on change requests where security review is required.
  • Drive process improvements and standard operating procedures to improve consistency, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Support physical security audits, compliance reviews, and site readiness activities.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of requests, projects, and operational activities across internal and external ticketing systems, including JIRA and related workflow tools.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for vendor queries related to security and compliance.
  • Maintain current records for access control lists and inbound and outbound security tickets.
  • Schedule onsite technicians and arrange site access for ad hoc and planned activities.
  • Submit and track remote hands requests that support physical work at site locations.
  • Perform regular audits of vendor portals, inventory records, and reported work hours.
  • Coordinate reverse logistics and ERAD-related vendor activities and oversee execution on site.
  • Lead or support quarterly business reviews with vendors to assess performance, compliance, and service quality.
  • Understand edge and data center security architecture, including access control systems, CCTV platforms, alarm systems, smart locks, and environmental security dependencies.
  • Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to evaluate security risks related to edge deployments, hardware lifecycle events, remote operations, and site changes.
  • Support technical validation of security controls for new sites, equipment migrations, decommissioning activities, and vendor-led physical work.
  • Review security-related logs, dashboards, and system records to identify anomalies, access irregularities, or control gaps that require investigation.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and escalation for security hardware and platform issues and ensure findings are documented and routed to the correct owners.
  • Contribute to the definition and maintenance of edge security standards, operational baselines, and control checklists for geographically distributed sites.
  • Assess operational security risks in areas such as remote access, privileged access, asset handling, media sanitization, and site-level exception management.
  • Support the rollout of technical security improvements by validating readiness, documenting process changes, and tracking remediation actions to completion.
