Job summary

NCS Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team on a yearly contract renewal. You will design, deploy and maintain robust security controls to protect our digital assets and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in IT or cybersecurity, a relevant degree, and hands-on knowledge of AWS security tools and products such as Imperva DAM, CyberArk, Trend Micro Cloud One, Web Gateway (McAfee), AquaSec and Tenable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles.
• Knowledge in AWS cloud native security tools and services such as AWS IAM, Firewall/WAF, GuardDuty, KMS etc.
• Practical working expertise with one or more of the following technologies: Imperva DAM, Cyberark, Trend Micro Cloud One, Web Gateway (i.e. McAfee) and AquaSec, Tenable
• Sound fundamental knowledge on IP networking (e.g. TCP/IP, routing) and Firewalls (e.g. Checkpoint, Fortigate)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Incident Management: Respond to managed security technologies’ fault alerts and/or customer escalation within SLA to internal technical teams or external product vendors until resolution.
• Troubleshooting: Provide support for security solutions and resolve technical issues within SLA with internal teams and external vendors.
• Patch Management: Plan and apply regular updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain system compliance.
• Service and Change Requests: Respond to inbound Change Requests (CRs), Service Requests (SRs) or other queries within SLA.
• System Monitoring: Continuously monitor security systems and perform health checks to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Collaboration: Work with IT and cybersecurity teams for reporting and to enhance security measures.
• Proactive Measures: Stay current with cybersecurity trends and implement measures to improve security posture.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to security standards and develop/update documentation and guides.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Security Engineer to join our organization in Singapore. This is a yearly contract renewal position where you will play a critical role in protecting our organization's digital assets and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in cybersecurity, coupled with the ability to analyze complex security challenges and implement efficient solutions. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain robust security systems that safeguard our organization against evolving threats.
