Job summary

THIRD PARTY CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Security Engineer with strong cloud security, monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response experience for projects with a leading Systems Integrator in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years in Cybersecurity or IT Security Operations.
• Experience in security operations, monitoring, incident response and maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of Endpoint Protection, Network Security, IAM.
• Ability to lead a team for Day 1 and Day 2 operations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CISSP or equivalent certification preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a Security Engineer / Specialist with strong experience in cloud security, security monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response to join our client, a leading Systems Integrator (SI) in Singapore supporting large-scale technology projects. Candidates with relevant experience supporting public sector projects will be highly preferred.

Job Description

• Monitor and maintain cloud security tools, firewalls, endpoint security and IDS/IPS.
• Monitor security events and support security incident detection, investigation and response.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and coordinate with technology vendors for incident escalation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security patching and remediation to maintain system security.
• Support security audits and compliance activities by preparing logs, reports and required documentation.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs and events to identify potential threats and security risks.
• Work closely with cloud, infrastructure, network and application teams to implement and maintain security controls.
• Maintain security configurations, operational procedures and technical documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of cloud security operations, monitoring and incident response processes.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Security Operations or Cybersecurity Maintenance.
• Experience in security operations, monitoring, incident response and security maintenance.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Endpoint Protection, Network Security and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers in delivering Day 1 and Day 2 operational functions.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Container Security: Operational experience with container/Kubernetes security is an advantage.
