Charterhouse Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join a growing cybersecurity team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise security technologies that protect critical infrastructure and business applications.
This hands-on role covers on-premises and cloud environments, with a focus on SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, and WAF. You will contribute to security automation and collaborate across infrastructure and operations teams to strengthen security posture.
Our client is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join a growing cybersecurity team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise security technologies that protect critical infrastructure and business applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on security professional with strong technical expertise across endpoint, network, identity, and cloud security technologies.
Design, implement, and support enterprise security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
Administer and optimize security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, DLP, PAM, IAM, WAF, and IDS/IPS.
Plan, deploy, and transition security solutions into production while ensuring minimal operational risk and service disruption.
Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot security incidents, system alerts, and complex technical issues across enterprise environments.
Perform security assessments, recommend remediation measures, and drive continuous improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture.
Develop and maintain security automation, scripts, and operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and operations teams to implement security best practices throughout the technology lifecycle.
Support security governance, compliance, and audit requirements while ensuring security controls remain effective and up to date.
Participate in security projects, technology evaluations, and operational initiatives to enhance enterprise cybersecurity capabilities.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Security Engineering or a related cybersecurity role.
Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise security technologies, including:
SIEM
SOAR
EDR/XDR
Anti-Virus
Vulnerability Management
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
Strong understanding of information security principles, cybersecurity best practices, and networking concepts.
Hands-on experience administering Unix/Linux environments with scripting skills (e.g., Shell/Bash scripting) for automation and troubleshooting.
Experience planning, implementing, and deploying enterprise security solutions into production environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, demonstrate ownership, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
AWS Certified Security - Specialty (or equivalent cloud security certification)
Other relevant cybersecurity vendor certifications are highly regarded.
