Job summary

NEWTONE CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT Security Engineer to strengthen the security posture of enterprise IT environments in Singapore. You will partner with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to identify risks, perform vulnerability assessments, monitor compliance, and drive remediation activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical work with security governance, reporting, continuous improvement, and operational security to keep defenses current and effective.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in CS, cybersecurity or related field.
• 2–5 years in cybersecurity or IT security operations.
• Experience with vulnerability assessments and remediation.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and compliance processes.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, OS, networking, and app security.
• Experience reporting findings to technical and business stakeholders.
• Security certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessments across infrastructure and applications.
• Monitor security posture and identify risks and deviations.
• Coordinate remediation activities with teams.
• Produce security dashboards, KPI reports, and updates.
• Support security audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and guidelines.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen overall posture.
• Stay current with threats and best practices.
