Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) is seeking a skilled IT security engineer in Singapore to design, operate, and improve security infrastructure including firewalls, SIEM, and IAM. You will lead incident detection, investigation, and post-incident analysis, and drive vulnerability assessments and security audits to close gaps.

The role requires hands-on experience in IT security engineering, knowledge of cloud security, and proficiency with industry standards like ISO 27001

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 4+ years hands-on IT security engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience with security incident handling and post-incident analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, IAM).
• Lead incident detection, investigation, mitigation, and post-incident analysis.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Drive security architecture reviews for new IT systems, cloud services, and applications.
• Collaborate with IT, network, application, and compliance teams for secure design and operation.

Requirement

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in IT security engineering, cybersecurity operations, or enterprise security management.
• Strong expertise with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM solutions, endpoint security, and network security technologies.
• Proven experience handling security incidents, threat hunting, or enterprise‑scale vulnerability management.
