Job summary

Crowne Plaza Hotel Changi Airport is seeking a Security Officer to uphold IHG security standards, ensuring guest safety and guarding against risks. The role emphasizes staying vigilant to protect guests and property across floors and entrances.

The job involves patrolling, CCTV monitoring, and coordinating with CERT/First Aider teams, while escorting VIPs and maintaining professional guest interactions. A GCE O levels qualification and 1+ year of experience are required, with 12-hour shifts,

Qualifications

• A minimum qualification in GCE O levels.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Possess a valid security officer license.
• Able to work rotating 12 hours shift over weekends and public holidays (4 days work week, 8 am to 8 pm or 8 pm to 8 am).
• Proactive and have an eye for details.
• Able to stay alert & professional at all times.

Responsibilities

• Report property deficiencies and safety hazards to the Manager.
• Check control access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Maintain vigilance at the colleague entrance.
• Patrol guest floors, back-of-house areas, and monitor entry/exit points.
• Ensure operating procedures are followed.
• Monitor CCTV cameras.
• Arrange night transport requests for colleagues.
• Respond to emergencies as CERT / First Aider.
• Familiarize with fire and workplace safety procedures per emergency plan.
• Escort VIPs and dignitaries.
• Engage with guests confidently and appropriately.
• Stay alert for unusual packages, guests, or vehicles and report to supervisor.

Job Description

As a Security Officer, you'll be implementing safety and security policies in accordance with IHG standards – emphasizing to remain alert at all times to team members. By allowing guests to feel safe and that their safety is not being compromised, it would encourage them to repeat visits to our hotel.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• Reporting to Manager all hotel property deficiencies and safety or security hazards
• Checking control access points as assigned to ensure no unauthorized entry
• Maintaining keen vigilance at colleague entrance where colleagues, casual labours and visitors check in
• Doing patrolling on guest floors, heart of house and check entry and exit points
• Ensuring all operating procedures are adhered to
• Monitoring CCTV cameras
• Arranging Night Transport requests for colleagues
• Responding to emergencies as a member of CERT / Certified First Aider
• Familiar with fire / work place safety procedure guided by hotel's emergency plan in any case of fire outbreak
• Escorting VIPs and dignitaries
• Engaging with guest confidently & appropriately
• Staying alert and observe for any unusual packages, guests or vehicles to advise superior
