Job summary

ATOP Academy Pte. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated tutor to deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE secondary syllabus.

The role involves assessing learners, customizing lesson plans, and guiding students through scientific inquiry and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Physics or lower-secondary Science, proficient English, and excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Requires solid knowledge of Physics and/or lower-secondary Science.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with Singapore MOE Secondary Science syllabus and assessment requirements.

• Guide students in answering structured, application-based, and calculation questions accurately.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments and national examinations.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources and practical learning activities.

• Guide students in answering structured, application-based, and calculation questions accurately.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments, practical assessments, and national examinations.
• Develop students’ curiosity, critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and practical learning activities.

Requirements

• GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physics and/or lower-secondary Science.
• Familiarity with Singapore MOE Secondary Science syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Passion for teaching and supporting secondary school students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.
