Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an SDLC Engineer to join the heart of the developer experience. You will ensure code written by GS engineers is versioned securely, reviewed expertly, compiles fast, tests comprehensively and is distributed widely.

You will deliver CI/CD solutions using modern tooling across languages such as Java, Golang and Python, enabling ML tooling efforts and cloud-native deployments. The role emphasizes security, reliability and high performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Git and cloud deployment patterns (AWS).
• Strong programming skills in at least one language (Golang/Java/Python).
• Knowledge of Linux networking and system internals.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and run next-generation CI/CD instances with a focus on security and reliability.
• Develop features for CI/CD solutions using vendor stacks and internal tooling.
• Collaborate with Product Management to improve service quality and performance.
• Advocate for product quality, security, and performance improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across core GitLab-like environments and SDLC ecosystem.
• Collect, analyze and report metrics; ensure operational resiliency.
