Job summary

A*STAR IMCB invites applications for a scientist to join the DNA-encoded library screening and molecular glue discovery program in Singapore. You will work at the interface of experimental science, data analysis and drug discovery in a dynamic team.

The role involves conducting DEL screens, analyzing sequencing data, prioritising compounds and validating hits using biochemical, biophysical and cellular assays. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with strong wet-lab grounding.
• Proficiency in Python and R to analyse large data sets.
• Wet-lab experience in biochemical/biophysical or cellular experiments.
• Interest bridging experimental and computational drug discovery.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our team ( www.liuslab.com) at A*STAR IMCB, Singapore, to work on DNA-encoded library (DEL) screening and molecular glue discovery.

The successful candidate will work at the interface of experimental science, data analysis and drug discovery. The role will involve conducting DEL screens, analysing sequencing data, prioritising compounds, and validating selected hits using biochemical, biophysical and cellular assays.

Key areas:

• DNA-encoded library screening
• Next-generation sequencing data analysis and visualisation
• Cheminformatics and chemical structure analysis
• Recombinant protein expression and purification
• Biochemical, biophysical and cellular validation of selected compounds

Training will be provided in areas where the candidate has less prior experience.

Requirements:

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biology, Bioinformatics or a related field
• Working knowledge in Python and R to analyse large data sets
• Wet-lab experience in biochemical, biophysical or cellular experiments
• A good understanding of chemistry and chemical structures
• An interest in working across both experimental and computational aspects of drug discovery
• DNA-encoded library screening or data analysis
• Recombinant protein expression and purification
