Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated school support assistant to work with teachers in preparing resources and assisting science lessons.

You will help purchase materials, organize inventory, and maintain two science rooms to support a smooth learning environment. The role requires good communication, basic science equipment knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure. Gardening experience is welcomed, with duties spanning classroom assistance, general office tasks, and ad hoc duties

Qualifications

• Min GCE O Level.
• Pleasant personality with good knowledge on Science apparatus and equipment.
• Should possess good communication and writing skill.
• Able to have some gardening experience.
• Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resources with teachers for lessons and science activities.
• Help to purchase materials (if needed).
• Oversee and organise inventory to ensure stock is well stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness of two Science rooms.
• Conduct regular physical checks on Science room equipment.
• Assist in science activities such as experiments during lessons, recycling programmes, enrichment activities, and gardening projects.
• Assist in other duties as assigned by Teacher-in-charge, Level Head or Head of Department.
• General admin duties at the General Office (phone, counter, filing, distribution of materials).
• Any other duties as assigned by the reporting officer.

Job description

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Candidate to work with Teachers to prepare resources in advance for lessons and science related activities (eg CCA). Help to purchase materials (if needed).
• Oversee and organise the inventory to ensure stock is well stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness of the two Science rooms.
• Conduct regular physical checks on Science room equipment to ensure that the equipment is in working order.
• Assist in science activities e.g. experiments during science lessons, recycling programme, enrichment activities, planting at plant plots/green wall at rainwater harvesting tank/glass enclosure and other adhoc activities.
• Assist in any other duties as assigned by Teacher-in-charge, Level Head or Head of Department.
• General admin duties at the General Office such as attending to phone calls, manning the counter, filing and distribution of school materials.
• Any other duties as assigned by the reporting officer

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Min GCE “O” Level.
• Pleasant personality with good knowledge on Science apparatus and equipment.
• Should possess good communication and writing skill.
• Able to have some gardening experience.
• Able to work under pressure.
