Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Science Lab Assistant for a primary school in Singapore. The role supports lesson prep, lab supervision, equipment maintenance, inventory, and administrative duties, including safety measures and event tasks.

The contract runs April 2027 to November 2027 with hours Mon–Thu 6:45am–4:00pm, Fri 6:45am–3:30pm, and special MOE holiday hours in 2027.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a Science Lab Assistant in a primary school.
• Conversant in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apparatus and materials for science lessons.
• Label and group items for easy access and power up IT equipment before class.
• Assist teachers in supervising students during lab work.
• Maintain equipment and apparatus in the science room.
• Update inventory and identify items not working.
• Collate materials for purchase and liaise with teachers.
• Assist with perishable items for science experiments.
• Assist with science events, registration and forms.
• Assist with administrative duties in the Science Head of Department’s tasks.
• Support safety management and crowd control during arrivals and dismissal.
• Supervise students during recess time.
