Job summary

GAIN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a school support assistant to aid teachers in teaching and learning, and to assist in preparing apparatus, equipment and reagents for laboratory lessons.

The role also requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment in the lab and classroom. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience, holds a GCE O Level, and preferably is trained in first aid with experience dealing with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• GCE O Level qualification required.
• First aid training is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Preferably experience in a primary school.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to teachers in teaching and learning.
• Assist in the preparation of apparatus, equipment and reagents for laboratory lessons.
• Maintain general cleanliness of equipment and workplace.
• Perform simple administrative tasks as requested.

Job description

Contract Period: From 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027 with an option to extend for another year

Working hours:

• Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri: 7.30am to 1.30pm, inclusive of ½hr lunch break
• Wed: 7.30am to 2.30pm, inclusive of ½hr lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of Services:

1. Provide support to teachers in teaching and learning.
2. Assist in the preparation of apparatus, equipment and reagents for laboratory lessons.
3. Maintain general cleanliness of equipment and workplace.
4. Simple administrative and office work as and when request

Qualification, Skill & Experience:

1. GCE "O" Level.
2. Preferably first aid trained.
3. Competent in MS Office.
4. Preferably with experience dealing with different stakeholders.
5. At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
6. Preferably with prior experience working in a Primary School
