Job summary

EduCare Specialist Services is hiring a Pastoral Care Specialist/School Counselor to act as a dedicated point of contact for High Needs Students, providing one-on-one mentoring and behavioral support on campus.

The role involves case management, collaboration with parents, teachers, and school leadership, and delivering social-emotional and resilience-building activities to promote student engagement and well-being.

Qualifications

• Preferably prior experience in a school environment.
• Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or Education required.
• First aid or MHFA certifications are strong advantages.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one mentoring and on-ground behavioral support for High Needs Students.
• Support in case management, including engagement with students and parents.
• Maintain case reports and documentation.
• Lead motivational talks to build resilience and wellbeing.
• Assist with school events and administrative duties.
• Coordinate with school staff to implement interventions.
• Encourage homework completion and student engagement.
• Promote positive discipline and student well-being during routines.
• Engage parents as part of case management.
• Support staff with student wellness activities.
