Pastoral Care Officer

Location: 11 Teck Whye Walk, Singapore 688261
Salary: up to $3,000 basic salary per month
Contract Period: 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027
Employment Type: Contract

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:30pm

• Friday: 7:30am to 4:00pm

• Includes a 1-hour lunch break

• No work on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

• Working hours may be adjusted according to operational requirements, while maintaining the same total working hours

Job Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one befriending, mentoring and support to students requiring additional care and guidance.

• Assist with student management and on-ground discipline.

• Support case management through fact-finding, student and parent engagement, follow-up coordination and progress monitoring.

• Maintain accurate and proper case documentation and reports.

• Conduct motivational talks and encourage students to develop resilience, confidence and a positive attitude towards school.

• Monitor students' homework completion and provide guidance where required.

• Facilitate simple, age-appropriate physical activities to promote students' mental and physical well-being.

• Support positive student behaviour during daily routines, school programmes and events.

• Engage parents and collaborate with relevant school personnel on student concerns and follow-up actions.

• Assist with student discipline and well-being during school events, camps and activities.

• Perform general administrative and office-related duties as assigned.

• Safeguard official and confidential information in accordance with organisational requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Education or a related discipline.

• Experience in youth work, student support, social services or a related field is preferred.

• Prior experience working in a school environment will be an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and engagement skills.

• Patient, compassionate and able to relate well to children and youths.

• Able to manage sensitive situations professionally and maintain confidentiality.

• Basic First Aid, Crisis De-escalation or Mental Health First Aid certification will be an advantage.
