Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Food Lab Assistant for a 12-month contract. You will prepare ingredients, assist teachers, and maintain cleanliness in food laboratories while supporting inventory and safety practices.

The position requires minimum GCE N-Level, WSQ Food Safety Level 1, and 2+ years in a similar lab setting. Hours align with school schedules; salary SGD 2,400/month, with potential extension to December 2027.

Qualifications

Minimum GCE N-Level or equivalent.
Valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certification.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in a secondary school Nutrition and Food Science laboratory.
Good spoken and written English.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and email correspondence.
Organised, meticulous and familiar with food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients, utensils and equipment for practical lessons and assessments.
Assist teachers during practical sessions and reset workstations.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food laboratories and storage areas.
Assist with purchasing, stocktaking and inventory management. Monitor stock levels, expiry dates and proper food storage.
Conduct basic equipment checks and report defects or hazards.
Maintain records and support departmental activities as assigned.
