Job summary

You will inspect equipment and ensure safety before and after use, collaborating with teams to plan setups that optimise workflow and safety.

• Inspect and maintain scaffolding equipment, ensuring all components meet safety standards before and after use.
• Collaborate with construction teams to plan and execute scaffolding setups that optimize workflow and safety.
• Follow all legal regulations and safety guidelines related to construction and scaffolding.
• Conduct risk assessments for scaffolding operations and report any hazards or issues to the site manager.
• Provide guidance and support to junior scaffolders, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork on the job site.
• Unloading scaffolding equipment on-site
• Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding
• Erecting scaffolding poles
• Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures
• Laying planks for workers to walk on
• Fixing guard rails and safety netting
• Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete

Job description

Scaffolders are primarily responsible forassembling and disassembling temporary metal scaffolds, platforms, and stagingthat allow other construction personnel to work safely at heights. Theresponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
