Job summary
Siemens Mobility is seeking a student intern to support SCADA System Engineering and industrial networking activities within a large automation project. You will assist with configuration, testing, FAT/SAT, and document outcomes, while learning how industrial devices connect to enterprise systems.
The role requires ongoing studies in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related fields, with basic OPC UA, TCP/IP knowledge, and strong documentation skills.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Automation-related field.
- Basic knowledge of OPC UA and system interoperability.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting and industrial networking basics.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Familiarity with databases and MS SQL.
- Exposure to SCADA software and industrial protocols (Modbus, MQTT).
Responsibilities
- Support SCADA system engineering through configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with network migration and ensuring data integrity.
- Participate in FAT and SAT testing and document outcomes.
- Prepare clear technical documentation of test results and configurations.
- Assist IT/OT integration connecting industrial devices to enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with project teams and engineering stakeholders.
