Job summary

Symrise AG in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support flavor formulation, compounding, and inventory management. The role emphasizes adherence to Good Laboratory Practices, accurate documentation, and safe handling of materials within a fast-paced lab environment.

From the bench, you will assist flavorists, manage raw materials via SAP, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance while maintaining a clean and organized lab workspace.

Qualifications

• ITE/Dipoma in Food Technology, Food Science or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• No known allergies, particularly to powders and physically able to lift loads up to 5kg.
• Knowledge of the flavor industry is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multicultural, cross functional environment.
• A team player with a positive and professional attitude who is detailed-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Accurately compound flavors (powder/liquid blending according to approved formulations across Savory, Sweet and Beverage creation).
• Conduct flashpoint testing on finished flavor products in accordance with established procedures.
• Utilise SAP to locate, identify and retrieve the raw materials required for compounding activities.
• Monitor laboratory stock levels, coordinate raw materials replenishment and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation for raw materials, formulations and finished products.
• Apply Good Laboratory Practices with particular attention to weighing accuracy and formulation precision.
• Ensure timely and proper disposal of expired ingredients and flavor samples in accordance with established procedures.
• Comply with all EHS policies, laboratory safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Uphold high standards of laboratory housekeeping, cleanliness and organization to support safe and efficient working environment.
