Job summary

DSO National Laboratories is seeking a SAP Systems Administrator to maintain and support enterprise applications, including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, across DSO's corporate and R&D functions.

Role involves upgrades, transports, monitoring, security governance, and collaboration with IT and business teams to ensure reliability and optimal performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of enterprise application administration, ERP or related IT roles.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP transports, monitoring, patching and user administration.
• Good communication and ability to work across technical/business teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, manage and support Enterprise Applications for DSO's corporate and R&D functions.
• Provide technical support and resolve SAP-related issues to ensure service availability.
• Manage SAP platforms in line with best practices and SLAs.
• Review and optimize system administration processes for efficiency.

SAP Systems Administrator (Enterprise Applications)

In This Role, You Will

• Be part of the team that maintain, manages, and supports Enterprise Applications supporting DSO's corporate and business functions.
• Provide technical support and resolve application-related issues to ensure service availability and user satisfaction
• Manage and support enterprise application platforms in accordance with industry best practices and established service level agreements.
• Review, enhance, and automate system administration processes to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Support the onboarding, integration, and lifecycle management of new applications within the Enterprise IT environment.
• Ensure applications are deployed and operated in compliance with organisational policies, security standards, and governance requirements.
• Monitor system health, utilisation, and performance, and implement corrective and preventive measures where necessary.
• Support the administration, maintenance, and optimisation of SAP systems, including SAP ECC environments.
• Assist in SAP system upgrades, patching activities, transport management, system refreshes, and technical troubleshooting.
• Support SAP migration and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with functional teams, developers, and infrastructure engineers to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions
• Ensure compliance with security standards, including user administration, role management, and audit readiness.
• Participate in after-office-hours support and maintenance activities when required.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in enterprise application administration, application support, ERP systems, or related IT infrastructure roles.
• Experience supporting SAP systems (SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA) is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of SAP system administration concepts such as transports, system monitoring, performance monitoring, patching, and user administration.
• Familiarity with SAP technologies such as SAP Fiori, SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA, or integration technologies will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of IT security, backup and recovery processes, disaster recovery planning, and operational governance.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Professional certifications will be an added advantage, e.g., HFI Certified Usability Analyst, CompTIA Data+, Certified Data Professional (CDP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified ScrumMaster, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, SAP professional certificates
