Job summary

ABeam Consulting (Singapore) is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to drive end-to-end data migration for a large SAP rollout to the US. You will craft the migration strategy, ensure data quality, and coordinate across business users, functional and technical teams, and offshore centers.

The role requires strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder management with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA data migration tools, and a track record of multi-country implementations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years SAP experience with 5+ years leading SAP Data Migration workstreams.
• 2+ full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or global rollouts.
• Strong in SAP S/4HANA Data Migration, Migration Cockpit, Data Services, MDG, data mapping and governance.
• Experience migrating Business Partners, Customers, Vendors, Materials, Finance Data, Open Transactions, Inventory, and Asset Data.
• Broad SAP process knowledge across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing.
• Experience managing offshore and distributed delivery teams.
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.
• S/4HANA Certification is preferred; USA rollouts/multi-country a plus.
• Knowledge of SOX controls and compliance is desirable.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Retail, or Distribution sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead data migration strategy, governance, and lifecycle across the program.
• Oversee Data Assessment, Cleansing, Extraction, Transformation, Validation, and Cutover.
• Maintain Data Migration Plan, Tracker, Risk Register, and Status Reports.
• Run data migration workshops with process owners and stakeholders.
• Coordinate data extraction from legacy systems to SAP environments.
• Manage multiple mock conversions and reconciliation cycles.
• Ensure successful migration of master, transactional, and open data.
• Act as primary contact for data migration matters with USA and offshore teams.
• Provide regular executive updates on progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Support SIT/UAT, Dress Rehearsal, and Go-Live activities; ensure post-go-live stabilization.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to lead end-to-end data migration activities for a large-scale SAP implementation and rollout to the United States business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the data migration strategy, ensuring data quality, and managing data migration activities across multiple business functions and stakeholders. The role requires close collaboration with business users, functional consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders across Singapore, offshore delivery centers, and the USA.

Responsibilities

Data Migration Leadership

• Define and execute the overall data migration strategy, approach, and governance framework.
• Lead all phases of the SAP data migration lifecycle including Data Assessment, Data Cleansing, Data Extraction, Transformation, Validation, Mock Loads, Cutover, and Go-Live Support.
• Develop and maintain the Data Migration Plan, Migration Tracker, Risk Register, and Status Reports.
• Drive data migration workshops with business stakeholders and process owners.

Data Management

• Identify data objects, mapping requirements, transformation rules, and data quality requirements.
• Establish data quality metrics and monitor data readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee cleansing activities and coordinate issue resolution with business users.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and master data management standards.

SAP Migration Execution

• Lead migration activities using SAP Data Migration Cockpit, SAP S/4HANA Migration Tools, SAP BODS, SAP Data Services, LSMW, or other approved migration tools.
• Coordinate data extraction from legacy systems and loading into SAP environments.
• Manage multiple mock conversions and reconciliation cycles.
• Ensure successful migration of master data, transactional data, and open items.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for all data migration matters.
• Work closely with USA business stakeholders to align migration schedules, testing activities, and cutover requirements.
• Facilitate discussions between business, technical, functional, and offshore teams.
• Provide regular executive-level updates on migration progress, risks, and dependencies.

Testing & Cutover

• Support SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsal, and Go-Live activities.
• Coordinate data validation and reconciliation activities with business users.
• Lead migration cutover planning and execution.
• Ensure post-go-live data stabilization and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of SAP experience with at least 5 years leading SAP Data Migration workstreams.
• Proven experience in at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or global rollouts.

• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology would be beneficial.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, planning, execution, problem-solving, and risk management skills are advantageous.
• Experience driving data quality improvements and managing complex migration cutovers and go-live activities would be a plus.
