Job summary

NTT Data Singapore is seeking an SAP Basis administrator to handle user administration, authorization, system performance, and ongoing maintenance across SAP environments. Core duties include patching, backups, DR planning, and coordination of technical change within a global IT landscape.

The role requires 5–7 years in SAP consulting or manufacturing settings, with strong knowledge of SAP Basis, SUSE Linux, SAP NetWeaver, and Oracle databases. Travel to subsidiaries may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge in SAP Basis & SUSE Linux Administration is a must
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant SAP consulting or manufacturing industry experience
• Basic knowledge on SAP NetWeaver & Oracle Database technology
• Interested in processes within software development landscapes
• Prior experience in S4/Hana would be advantageous

• Custodian for SAP System Architecture, Hardware, and integration landscape
• Report to IT Manager and liaise with third party vendors
• Deliver all IT projects on time
• Travel to support subsidiaries in regional countries if required

• Responsible for Managing User/Client Administration, Authorization Management, System Performance Management, Audit Management, Transport Management System, Background Job, Patches installation, System Backup & Recovery, Kernel Upgrade, OS & Database Maintenance for Group wide.
• Responsible to manage SAP Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery.
• Ensure Optimum server performance and Preventive maintenance to keep daily operation smooth
• Manage SAP daily support ticket within defined Service Level
• Custodian for SAP System Architecture, Hardware, and integration landscape
• Direct reporting to IT Manager and work closely other IT pillar.
• Manage and liaise with third party vendor
• Deliver all IT projects on time

AUTHORITY

• SAP ECC 6 platform

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
• Knowledge in SAP Basis & OS SUSE Linux Administration is a must
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant of SAP consulting or manufacturing industry experience.
• Basic knowledge on SAP NetWeaver & Oracle Database technology
• Interested in processes within software development landscapes
• Prior experience in S4/Hana would be advantageous
• Analytical, meticulous and have good sense in troubleshooting
• Ability to articulate and communicate with people of all levels in the organization
• Able to work independently and lead in projects
• Willing to travel to support subsidiaries in regional countries if required
