Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Salesforce professional to lead hands-on implementation and architecture across complex environments in Singapore. You will drive design, development, deployment, and documentation for Salesforce-centric solutions, leveraging Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and APIs.

You will act as a technical lead, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality delivery while communicating progress to stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of development experience with Salesforce (Certified Salesforce Developer preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on technical implementation on Salesforce platform.
• Take a lead role in design, implementation, deployment and documentation of Salesforce projects.
• Serve as the SME for solution architecture including configuration, development, integration and customization.
• Lead Salesforce projects as technical lead.
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with Digital Center of Excellence, CRM and Back-End teams.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce declarative programming and administration.
• Design and develop solutions on Salesforce using Apex, Visualforce, LWC.
• Create and maintain Lightning templates, LWC components and flows.
• Develop solutions using Salesforce API framework and 3rd party APIs.
• Perform unit testing and defect fixes.
• Liaise with internal clients to understand business needs and deliver solutions.
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate status.
• Demonstrate calm under pressure and contribute proactively.
• Ad hoc analysis as needed.

Job description

• Perform hands-on technical implementation, with a focus on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce.com platform.
• Take a lead role in the design, implementation, deployment and documentation of projects that leverage the Salesforce.com toolset.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for solution architecture that will include configuration, development, integration and customization of complex environments.
• Serve as technical lead for Salesforce projects.
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with our Digital Center of Excellence, CRM and Back-End Development teams to create cutting-edge experiences for our institutions.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Declarative Programming and Administration (develop code, custom objects, LWC, Visual Force pages, Apex, reports, workflows and assignment rules).
• Design and develop solutions primarily on the Salesforce platform using Apex programming language, Visual Force, Lightning Web Components.
• Create and maintain lighting community templates, lightning web components and flows.
• Develop software solutions using Salesforce.com API framework, and 3rd party APIs.
• Perform unit testing and defect fixes.
• Liaise with internal clients and users to understand their business needs in developing solutions through Salesforce.
• Juggle multiple projects involving various end users, meet deadlines and proactively communicate status updates.
• Demonstrate calm under pressure and be a proactive contributor with an eagerness to learn.
• Ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years previous development experience with Salesforce (Certified Salesforce Developer preferred).
• Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce architecture and API.
• Detailed experience writing Visualforce and Apex classes and triggers.
• Demonstrative success with multiple Salesforce migration/integration projects.
• Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both customers, leadership, and technical teams.
