Job Summary
Develop and execute strategic marketing and sales initiatives to drive business growth and optimize market coverage. Lead distribution and customer service operations while managing inventory accuracy and team performance in a dynamic retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to identify and evaluate business opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
- Manage sales operations in supermarkets, ensuring accurate data entry for new products in the Point of Sales system.
- Source vegetables from wholesale markets and coordinate distribution to small shops and business partners.
- Lead and support distribution channels to achieve sales targets and maximize market coverage.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure stock availability and accuracy.
- Coordinate and track customer orders and requests to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Conduct monthly stock takes at consignment stores to verify inventory accuracy.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist in product display, arrangement, and sorting to optimize visual merchandising.
- Supervise and lead branch teams to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Train, coach, and develop staff to uphold high standards of customer service and housekeeping.
- Perform periodic stock-takes, inventory control, and security checks to safeguard assets.
- Communicate workplace safety policies and ensure staff compliance with safety standards.
- Provide delivery support during driver absences or urgent situations to maintain service continuity.
Required competencies and certifications
- Valid driving license: 2A/2B/Class 3/Class 4 to enable delivery of goods to customers.
- Proficiency in computer operations for Point of Sales system data entry and price adjustments.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Capability to perform fieldwork and deliver goods as needed.
- Knowledge of grocery, vegetable, and fruit products sourced from various countries.
- Experience managing product distribution through wholesale and retail channels.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or related discipline.
- 4-8 years of experience in B2B sales or wholesale brand consumer products, preferably within the industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, web applications, Photoshop, and mobile apps to support online delivery initiatives.
- Experience in wholesale or retail packaging processes.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
