Job summary

Schindler Lifts (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Sales Engineering Executive/Senior Executive to support tendering and order preparation. You will read technical specs, determine optimal lift and escalator designs, and perform configurations using Schindler tools and standards.

You will coordinate with MDC and Large Project Department for non-standard requirements, prepare tender submissions, and ensure timely planning and documentation in line with project schedules.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years in engineering related industry as Sales Engineer Trainee.
• 2 years in engineering related industry (Graduate Engineering / Science Degree).
• MS Tools such as Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and internal tools like ANC, NGC, etc.
• AutoCAD is an added advantage.
• Experience in lifts and escalator business is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tender and order work process strictly per ISO 9000 Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Define suitable lifts and escalators design per customer requirements and Schindler ESS standards.
• Perform elevator and escalator configurations and technical calculations using approved tools (ANC, NGC, etc).
• Select components from Schindler catalogs and product specs; coordinate with MDC/LPD or factories for non-standard requirements.
• Provide tender and project documentation submissions.
• Plan work to ensure timely tender cost estimations and project activities.
• Collaborate with MDC and Large Project Department for complex projects.

Sales Engineering Executive / Senior Executive

Tender Cost Estimate and Order Preparation

• Carry out tender and order work process strictly in accordance with the Company’s ISO 9000 Procedures and Work Instructions


• Read and interpret technical specifications and drawings


• Define the most suitable lifts and escalators design for customer’s requirements and in line with Sale’s Strategy based on Schindler Elevator System Standards (ESS), Group Product Lines, International and Local Elevator & Escalator Standards.


• Perform elevator and escalator configurations, technical calculations on Schindler’s approved tools e.g. ANC, NGC and etc.


• Selecting suitable elevator components from Schindler Technical Catalogues, Product Line Component Specifications and MDC’s pre-approved technical solutions.


• Working with Modernization & Design Center (MDC) and Large Project Department (LPD) or Schindler’s factories for non-standard and Top Range lift and escalator requirements.


• Provide documentation submission for tender and project activities.

Planning

• Plan well of own’s work to ensure all tender cost estimations submission are completed timely


• Plan well of own’s work to ensure all project activities and orders are completed in line with the project schedule.
