Job summary

L.S. CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a Safety Officer to enforce safety rules on site, conduct risk assessments, and manage audits and compliance. The role requires Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Safety and a minimum of 5 years' experience on HDB/Commercial projects.

The successful candidate will lead safety training, liaise with authorities, and continuously improve the safety management system to protect staff and stakeholders on site.

Qualifications

• Registered WSHO and ECO
• Min 5 years of HDB/Commercial project experience
• Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health or other relevant discipline

Responsibilities

• Ensure statutorySafety regulations and company safety rules are implemented and complied by all staff.
• Review and update the safety management system to stay aligned with local legislation.
• Conduct safety training related to activities based on Safe Work Procedure / Risk Assessment.
• Manage Safety Audits on site.
• Review risk assessments and risk management internally and externally.
• Conduct monthly WSH Committee Meetings and safety reports.
• Conduct monthly Mass Toolbox Meetings and participate in daily Toolbox Meetings.
• Enforce house rules on all stakeholders for noncompliance.
• Collaborate with project teams to eliminate safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance to statutory safety and environmental regulations and timely submission of documents.
• Liaise with authorities on matters pertaining to occupational safety and health.
• Advise Project Director/Manager in occupational safety and health.
• Inspect site facilities/equipment for environmental health compliance.
• Manage incident investigations and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Review and maintain site environmental, health and safety records.
• Ensure PTW documents are valid for operations.

TheSafety Officerduties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Ensure all Statutory act & regulations, company safety rules & regulations and code of practice are implemented and complied by all staff.


• Review and recommend necessary changes regularly to the safety management system to keep it updated with the applicable local legislation.


• Conduct safety training related to the activity based on Safe Work Procedure / Risk Assessment.


• Manage Safety Audits on site.


• Review all risk assessments and risk management internally and externally.


• Conduct m onthly WSH Committee Meeting and put up safety reports.


• Conduct monthly Mass Toolbox Meeting and participate in the Daily Toolbox Meeting.


• Enforce house rules on all stake holders and take action when necessary for noncompliance.


• Work closely with the project team to eliminate security, safety, health and environment hazards.


• Ensure legal compliance to all statutory safety and environmental regulations and timely submission of mandatory documents.


• Liaise with relevant authorities on matters pertaining to occupational safety and health.


• Advice Project Director/Manager in occupational safety and health.


• Inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health is in proper working condition.


• Manage incidents' investigations, recommend corrective actions and follow-up on the implementations and effectiveness of actions taken


• Review and maintain site's environmental, health and safety records


• Ensure PTW supporting documents are valid and in place for operational performance


• Other duties as assigned by the Departmental Manager.

Requirements:

• Registered WSHO and ECO


• Min 5 years of HDB/Commercial project experience required
