Job summary

TECHLEAD TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a meticulous Safety Officer (Construction Industry) to ensure compliance with WSH regulations through site inspections, risk assessments, and delivering safety training.

The role includes investigating incidents, maintaining records, and coordinating with clients and authorities to improve safety standards. The ideal candidate holds a MOM‑registered WSHO, 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the MOM.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, semiconductor, or manufacturing industry.
• Familiar with MOM WSH regulations, RA, SWP, PTW, and incident investigation.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple project sites.
• Possession of additional safety certifications (e.g., Confined Space, Work at Height, First Aid, Fire Safety) will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, MOM regulations, and company safety policies.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures, risk assessments, and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, inductions, and safety training for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare investigation reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with WSH requirements and client safety standards.
• Liaise with clients, project teams, contractors, and government authorities on safety matters.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, permits, and statutory reports.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
• Support project teams in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
• Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental practices.

Our member company is seeking a meticulous and motivated Safety Officer (Construction Industry) to join the team In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations by conducting site inspections, implementing safety procedures, performing risk assessments, and delivering safety training to promote a safe working environment. Investigate incidents, maintain safety documentation, liaise with stakeholders on safety matters, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
