Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain WSH management systems and project safety plans.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and enforce corrective actions.
• Review RA, SWP, and Method Statements for safety controls.
• Administer PTW systems for high‑risk activities.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO, Work at Height, and Confined Space safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare safety reports and WSH documentation for audits.
• Assist with safety audits and regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams on safety practices.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to implement and monitor workplace safety and health practices for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and building maintenance works. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, statutory requirements and client safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain WSH Management Systems and project safety plans to ensure regulatory compliance and workplace safety
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and enforce corrective actions to mitigate hazards
• Review Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Method Statements to validate safety controls
• Administer and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities to control workplace risks
• Ensure compliance with Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), Work at Height, and Confined Space safety requirements to prevent accidents
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety awareness programmes to promote a safety culture
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, and WSH documentation for audit readiness
• Assist with safety audits and regulatory inspections to ensure ongoing compliance
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams to align safety practices and standards
• Monitor M&E and building maintenance works to verify adherence to safe working practices

Required competencies and certifications

• Must be a MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Relevant experience in M&E works, facilities management, or building maintenance
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and statutory requirements
• Familiarity with Risk Assessment, Permit-to-Work, LOTO, Work at Height, and Confined Space safety requirements
