Job summary

ASA VERTEX (E&C) PTE. LTD. seeks a Safety Manager to oversee HSE standards across our Singapore operations. The role ensures compliance with Singapore’s WSH Act, MOM requirements and company policies, while leading safety audits, risk assessments and training.

The successful candidate will lead incident investigations, maintain HSE records and promote a zero-accident culture, working with management, contractors and authorities to continuously improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in OSH, Environmental, Engineering or related discipline.
• Recognised WSH/Safety qualification; registered WSHO with MOM; NEA - ECO and FSM certified.
• 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in landscaping, horticulture, construction or outdoor operations.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies and programmes.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend control measures.
• Ensure compliance with WSH Act, MOM requirements and other applicable regulations.
• Investigate workplace incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks and HSE training for employees and supervisors.
• Monitor contractors and workers to ensure safe work practices and PPE usage.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, risk assessments, permits and documentation.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement of safety performance.
• Liaise with management, clients, contractors and authorities on HSE matters.
• Advise supervisors and workers on safe practices and ensure timely closure of safety findings.

Job Description – Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Safety Manager to oversee workplace safety, health and environmental (HSE) standards across our operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Singapore’s workplace safety regulations, company policies and safe work procedures.
