Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Safety Officer to take charge of construction site safety and environmental matters in Singapore. The role requires leading safety and environmental programs, identifying risks, and driving preventative measures on active sites.

Responsibilities include inspections, root-cause investigations, training delivery, and ensuring subcontractors comply with safety requirements. This position reports to the Project Manager and emphasizes safe, orderly site management.

Qualifications

• Registered as WSHO with MOM.
• Registered ECO with NEA.
• Minimum 3 years of construction site experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and environmental management at construction sites.
• Identify and assess foreseeable risks on site.
• Recommend measures to eliminate and control risks.
• Propose safe work procedures to control risks.
• Conduct safety and site inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead periodic environmental inspections.
• Ensure subcontractors and workers comply with safety procedures.
• Investigate site incidents/accidents.
• Plan and conduct safety trainings for workers.
• Ensure proper housekeeping for safe sites.
• Assist Project Manager with ad-hoc safety matters.

• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk at the construction job site.

• To recommend measures to eliminate and foreseeable risk at construction job site.

• To recommend safe work procedures to control risk at construction job site.

• To lead safety and site inspections to ensure compliance with government regulations.

• To lead periodic environmental inspections.

• To check and ensure that the sub-contractors and workers are complying to safety procedures and requirements set.

• Responsible for investigation of site incidents/accidents.

• To plan and conduct safety trainings for workers.

• To ensure proper housekeeping is in place for safe and tidy job sites.

• To assist Project Manager in implementation of ad-hoc Safety related matters on site.

Job Requirements:

• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM.

• Registered Environmental Control Officer with NEA.

• At least 3 years of experience in building construction projects.
