The role emphasizes updating procedures in line with current codes of practice and legislation, performing risk and environmental impact assessments, handling accident investigations and corrective actions, and developing in-house HSE training and programs.

Qualifications

• Procedures updated with latest codes of practice and government legislation.
• Risk and environmental impact assessments implemented and follow-up actions to maintain safety and compliance with ISO/OHSAS.
• Assist investigations of accidents/incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop in-house HSE training and promotional programmes.
• Generate audit evidence via documentation or photos.
• Coordinate all subcontractors to ensure safe working conditions.
• Review and comment on subcontractor submissions.
• Prepare safety documents and reports as needed.
• Conduct safety training for subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Job description

To assist WSHO/ECO in administrating and implementing company’s HSE management system and procedure

• Ensure procedures are updated with latest codes of practice and government legislation
• Ensure the effective implementation of risk and environmental impact assessment, and follow up actions to maintain high safety standard and compliance to company ISO, OHSAS and policy
• To assist WSHO/ECO in conducting accident / incident investigations and recommendation on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• To assist WSHO in developing HSE in-house training and promotional programmes.
• Assist WSHO/ECO in generating audit evidence in terms of documentation or photos
• Able to guide and lead / coordinate all subcontractors to ensure safe working conditions
• Review and comment subcontractor’s submittals
• Prepare safety documents and reports where necessary
• Conduct safety training for subcontractors
