Job summary

Hong Yang Development Pte Ltd is seeking a Safety Coordinator to review incidents, conduct safety inspections, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. You will coordinate toolbox talks and safety inductions, ensuring compliance with WSH Act and management systems.

The role requires knowledge of risk assessment, PTW systems, and ISO 45001/14001, with strong documentation and reporting skills. A 6-day work week is expected and onsite safety leadership will be provided.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coordinate safety activities and maintain records.
• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and risk assessment methods.
• Familiar with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

Responsibilities

• Review incidents/accidents and provide countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate daily toolbox meetings and keep records up to date.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and other site safety checks as required.
• Coordinate immediate rectification of unsafe conditions and malpractices on site.
• Monitor enforcement of in-house rules to ensure safe practices on site.
• Coordinate safety inductions for all site staff.
• Submit quarterly EHS performance reports and 6-month risk assessment reviews.
• Assist WSHO in establishing and maintaining Safety and Health Management System.

Job description

To review, conduct incident / accident investigation and provide recommendations for countermeasures and to prevent recurrence of accident

To coordinate of daily toolbox meeting and upkeep the records

To conduct daily safety inspection and other type of safety inspection as required at work site

To coordinate the immediate rectification of unsafe conditions and correct any safety malpractices on site

Monitor and oversee the enforcement of In-house Rule and Regulation and ensure safe work practices on site

Coordinate and conduct the safety induction course to all site staffs

Submission of Quarterly EHS performance & 6-monthly review of Risk Assessment

Ensure and to carry out duties in accordance to WSH Act & Integrated Management System

Assist WSHO to establish, update, maintain, and implement the Safety and Health Management System

To assist WSHO for all safety promotional activities, safety audits, safety meetings and execution of safety programmes

Requirements:

• Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant safety coordination experience.
• 6-day work week.
• Knowledge of WSH regulations, risk assessment, and PTW systems.
• Good knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Strong coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
