Job summary

Zen Career PTE. LTD. is seeking a Workplace Safety, Health & Environment Officer (WSHO) to support project safety across multiple sites in Singapore. You will oversee safety systems, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with MOM requirements.

The role involves leading the site safety team, organizing training, and collaborating with the Project Manager to uphold high safety standards. Basic salary up to SGD 6000, with OT payable and regular office hours.

Qualifications

• WSHO duties under the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
• Liaise with MOM, NEA, PUB on WSH matters.
• Lead and manage the site safety team and training programs.
• Conduct daily site inspections and monitor safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Workplace Safety, Health & Environment across projects.
• Assist Safety Manager with subcontractors and safety systems.
• Perform risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Investigate injuries and incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare safety reports and statistics for authorities.
• Coordinate monthly WSH committee meetings and briefings.

Job scope:

• Workplace Safety, Health & Environment
• Assist the Safety Manager in overseeing the Safety team and subcontractors in implementing the Company’s safety systems and requirements at project sites.
• Monitor workplace safety, health, environmental conditions, and safe work practices across all projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures to maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.
• Perform duties as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and relevant environmental regulations.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Team to address workplace safety, health, and environmental matters.
• Enforce safety policies, site requirements, and internal rules and regulations in compliance with MOM requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Safe Work Procedures, risk assessments, and other HSE documentation.
• Conduct daily site inspections and monitor project activities for compliance with safety requirements.
• Incident Management & Compliance
• Investigate workplace safety infringements, accidents, and incidents, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Assist with worker rehabilitation following workplace accidents or injuries to support a safe return to work.
• Liaise with MOM, NEA, PUB, and other relevant authorities on WSH and environmental matters.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports, safety statistics, safety indices, and other statutory documentation in the required formats.
• Training & Team Management
• Organise and coordinate monthly WSH Committee meetings and follow up on relevant safety matters.
• Conduct internal HSE training and briefings for site personnel to strengthen safety awareness.
• Lead and manage the site safety team to ensure effective implementation of HSE practices.
• Organise HSE awareness campaigns, health initiatives, and training programmes to promote a strong safety culture.
