Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management (Singapore) seeks a seasoned software engineer to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain our high-volume trade management system. You’ll mainly work in Rust with support for C#/.NET components.

Roles include optimizing latency, memory usage, and AWS costs while collaborating with global teams. 5+ years in enterprise development and strong Rust/JAVA/C#/REST/gRPC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise-level development experience.
• Strong expertise in Rust, Java, and C# with async/await and multi-threaded programming.
• Experience integrating with REST/gRPC and building service-oriented architectures.
• Proven experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, and AWS serverless (Lambda).
• Ability to read and contribute to C#/.NET Core services; familiarity with microservices.
• Experience with DevOps tools: JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Rust-based, multithreaded, high-volume trade flow processing systems.
• Interoperate with existing C#/.NET services and contribute to codebases.
• Profile, optimize latency and memory usage to reduce AWS costs.
• Make independent decisions while mitigating risks.
• Take ownership of all aspects of the trade management systems.
• Balance rapid development with second-line support in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with engineers across the UK, Poland, New York, and Hong Kong.
