MLabs in Singapore–hybrid, full-time–is seeking a Backend Engineer to design core components of its institutional trading framework. The role emphasizes secure, low-latency infrastructure for high-throughput decentralized protocols and privacy-preserving technologies.

Collaborate with elite engineers on smart contracts, TEEs, and distributed systems to deliver sub-millisecond execution latency in a robust, scalable environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building high-performance backend services and infrastructure.
• Experience with secure smart contracts in decentralized environments.
• Understanding of privacy-preserving cryptography and TEEs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Core Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend services using Rust.
• Smart Contract Engineering: Build, optimize, and audit secure smart contracts for EVM environments.
• Latency Optimization: Achieve sub-millisecond end-to-end execution latencies in trading infrastructure.
• System Architecture: Collaborate on protocol architecture, cryptographic implementation, and scalable distributed systems.
• Security & Cryptography: Integrate privacy-preserving cryptography and TEEs into the transaction pipeline.
