Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize core trading infrastructure for low-latency environments in Singapore. You will work with traders, researchers, and engineers to build scalable systems that support algorithmic trading strategies and market connectivity.

The ideal candidate has strong software fundamentals, experience with production-grade trading systems, and a passion for performance-critical applications in fast-paced markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience in trading or performance-sensitive settings.
• Experience building low-latency, distributed trading systems.
• Proficiency in Rust or C++, and strong knowledge of performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-latency, high-throughput trading systems.
• Build and maintain connectivity to exchanges, brokers, and trading venues.
• Develop components supporting market data, order management, and trade execution workflows.
• Optimize system performance through profiling, monitoring, and architectural improvements.
• Work closely with trading and quantitative teams to implement and enhance trading capabilities.
• Contribute to scalable system architecture that can support increasing trading volumes.
• Maintain system reliability, stability, and operational performance in production environments.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives.
