in Singapore seeks a Production Engineer to lead the assembly and delivery of our precision robotic prostate biopsy systems, bridging R&D and manufacturing to ensure every unit meets exact specifications. You will manage the production workflow, troubleshoot electromechanical issues, drive DFM initiatives, and contribute toward a path to Production Manager in a fast paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 1–3 years in medical device manufacturing or high‑precision robotics.
• Ability to read drawings, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Proven ability to assemble machinery/robotic sub‑assemblies with high repeatability.
• Proficiency with ERP software and CAD (SolidWorks) for DFM inputs is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of medical device deployment and robotic calibration.
• Quality‑First attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Assembly: Hands‑on assembly of robotic positioning systems, integrated ultrasound hardware, and MRI‑fusion workstations.
• Work Instructions: Execute and refine WI and SOPs to ensure consistent builds.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve hardware/software issues during the build phase in collaboration with R&D.
• Manufacturing Feedback Loop: Translate assembly challenges into Engineering Change Requests (ECR) to improve manufacturability and serviceability.
• Tooling & Jigs: Provide inputs for jigs or calibration tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• V&V Support: Assist R&D in Verification and Validation activities for hardware upgrades.
• Production Planning: Liaise with vendors and suppliers, coordinate production schedules to meet forecasts.
• BOM & ERP Management: Maintain BOM and manage inventory records using the ERP system.
• Site Management: Maintain a 5S‑compliant, audit‑ready production environment (ISO 13485/FDA QSR).
