Job summary

Applied is seeking a seasoned software architecture leader for its service robotics platform. You will shape architecture, governance, and lifecycle tooling for a reusable robotics product, spanning embedded software, fleet connectivity, and diagnostics.

You will build and lead a lean software team, partner with central software groups, and drive strategic technology choices while aligning with governance and product objectives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering, software architecture, or robotics/automation platform experience.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering complex software systems through a product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Define the software architecture, technical roadmap, and interface strategy for the service robotics platform, including embedded software, fleet connectivity, diagnostics, observability, simulation, and lifecycle tooling dependencies.
  • Lead the dedicated software team and partner with central software groups on standards, tooling, security, and release practices.
  • Governance: document all phases of architecture, development, validation, deployment, and support for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Spearhead adoption of new software technologies and methods, ensuring their integration into products/services or dissemination to other teams.
