Job summary

Hivebotics is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to scale robotics products from pilot to high-volume production across multiple sites. You will own engineering data, processes, and documentation, ensuring builds are repeatable and compliant.

The role collaborates with R&D, quality, supply chain, and external contract manufacturers to drive cost targets, DFM/ DFA improvements, and successful product rollout. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably robotics.
• Experience with BOM structures, engineering drawings, GD&T, and ECOs.
• Hands-on electromechanical assembly and testing experience.
• Familiarity with PPAP, 8D, PFMEA, and DFx/DFM practices.

Responsibilities

• Define, validate, and maintain manufacturing, assembly, and test processes at contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Develop modular build architecture to structure products into testable modules.
• Drive DFM/ DFA improvements to reduce build time and cost targets.
• Create work instructions, routings, and controlled documentation.
• Own engineering change management and release of manufacturing BOMs and drawings.
