Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test and maintain hardware and server software in a cutting-edge data center.

You’ll work with racks, cabling, and basic networking components as part of a focused operations team delivering world‑class infrastructure. The role emphasizes hands‑on hardware, Linux‑based troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with robotics and security staff to ensure reliable service.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in hardware/OS, coding and scripting or networking domains.
• Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing computer, server, and network hardware.
• Experience with data center infrastructure: mechanical, electrical or similar.
• Experience with meters, devices, sensors, and related diagnostic equipment.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware/network issues using Linux tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs of equipment and work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor robotic system performance and health using specialized software.
• Follow PM procedures to enable tier 1 technicians to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, or robot–server interactions and document fixes.
• Install robot operating software and ensure compatibility with data center environments.
• Collaborate with data center staff, robotics and security teams to coordinate maintenance.
