The successful candidate will monitor risk metrics, maintain dashboards, support the annual risk budgeting cycle and provide advisory on trading risk and regulatory obligations, working with technology to automate reporting.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in commodity risk management or market compliance.
• Strong understanding of credit, counterparty, currency and market risk.
• Working knowledge of futures exchanges, hedging activity, and market regulation.
• Strong data analytics and reporting capability with Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Our client is a major global player in the food and agri-commodities sector, operating across dozens of markets worldwide. This role sits within a dedicated entity set up to steward a portfolio of the group's businesses, working closely with senior leadership as those assets move through a structured value-realisation programme. It's a hands-on, high-visibility position reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report the full suite of trading-risk metrics — position and currency exposure, Value-at-Risk (VaR), mark-to-market and credit aging
• Track exposures against approved limits, flagging breaches, overdue positions and limit exceptions
• Escalate material risk events and work with stakeholders on mitigation actions
• Support the annual risk-budgeting cycle and ongoing risk analytics
• Produce risk dashboards and Board Risk Committee reporting packs
• Monitor exchange position limits against approved thresholds and ensure adherence to commodity exchange rules and market-conduct requirements
• Perform trade reconciliations and submit regulatory trade reporting to the MAS on time
• Support hedge exemption applications and related compliance monitoring
• Provide market-compliance guidance and advisory to business units
• Partner with technology teams to automate manual risk and compliance reporting, lifting quality, efficiency and data integrity
• Build strong relationships across business, country, finance and IT teams, delivering timely risk insight to inform commercial decisions
• Deliver training and advisory on trading risk, market compliance and regulatory obligations
• Degree in finance, economics, risk management or a related field
