Job summary

UNITED ENERGY (SINGAPORE) RESOURCES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Risk Control & Compliance professional to monitor trading exposures across physical and paper trading activities in Singapore.

You will analyse P&L performance, validate risk metrics, and support management with timely risk reporting. The role requires strong communication, cross‑functional collaboration with Trading, Operations, Finance, and Legal & Compliance, and a track record in risk controls, policy improvement, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above; preferred majors in Risk Management, Compliance, Petroleum.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk Control and Compliance.
• Experience in the oil or energy industry preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse trading exposures, positions, price movements and P&L performance across the company's physical and paper trading activities.
• Establish and improve trade risk management processes to ensure trade capture, confirmation, valuation, reconciliation, settlement and reporting are accurate, complete and traceable.
• Prepare regular risk, exposure, P&L and trading performance reports to support management decision-making.
• Monitor trading limits, credit risk, market risk and operational risk, and escape exceptions or unusual activities in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Trading, Operations, Finance, Legal & Compliance and Back Office teams to strengthen risk controls and resolve issues across the full trade lifecycle.
• Review and improve risk management policies, operating procedures, approval authorities, limit structures and internal control requirements, identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support internal audits, external audits, compliance reviews and process improvement initiatives related to trading risk and internal controls.
• Train and guide relevant team members to improve professional capability and execution efficiency.
