Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks a Market Risk professional to monitor daily risk exposures and P&L fluctuations across physical and derivative commodity trades plus FX. You will generate daily risk reports and use risk management systems to support decision-making.

The role includes compiling market prices, maintaining price curves, and performing month-end/quarter-end valuations, with involvement in back-testing and stress-testing for year-end risk assessments.

Job responsibilities:

Market Risk Management

• Monitor and analyse daily market risk exposures and Profit & Loss (P&L) fluctuations for physical and derivative commodity trading, as well as foreign exchange.
• Generate daily risk reports and perform risk management activities using the trading and risk management systems.
• Compile market prices from various sources and maintain daily price curves for system upload.
• Perform month-end and quarter-end inventory valuations.
• Support year-end risk assessments, including back-testing and stress-testing exercises.

Credit Risk Management

• Calculate and monitor daily credit risk exposure to customers using the designated risk management system.
• Monitor customer positions against approved credit and position limits.
• Prepare and maintain daily credit risk position reports.
• Highlight any potential limit breaches or significant credit exposures to the relevant stakeholders.

Market Analysis

• Monitor market developments, including commodity fundamentals, macroeconomic trends and key market prices.
• Conduct market research and analyse relevant market information to support trading and risk management activities.
• Prepare weekly market analysis reports and present key findings to the Front Office team.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by the Manager/Senior Manager/General Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience within an oil & gas trading company.
• Familiarity with commodity trading and risk management systems, such as Entrade, will be an advantage.
