Job summary

Achieve Group in Singapore is seeking a Head of Market Risk to lead the market risk function and provide independent oversight across trading portfolios. You will partner with traders and senior management to drive risk-based decisions and strategic initiatives.

The role requires a strong background in commodity market risk, VaR, P&L attribution and risk governance, with leadership experience to mentor the team and foster a robust risk culture within the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or related quantitative discipline; PhD is advantageous.
• Significant experience in commodity market risk within a commodities trading house, energy company or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of physical and derivative commodities, including valuation methodologies and market risk drivers.
• Proven expertise in VaR, P&L attribution, stress testing, scenario analysis and risk governance.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence front-office stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL or other analytical tools is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
