Job summary

Cheak is building its flagship store experience team in Singapore. You will shape how guests perceive the store from entry to checkout, set service standards, and ensure every location upholds the brand voice in operations.

You will design the retail organization, craft a scalable opening blueprint, hire and grow teams, and coach leaders to maintain rituals and a collaborative culture while driving store performance to meet targets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in retail with at least 2 years leading a store.
• Passion for fitness, sports, and wellness.

About Cheak

We are a fast-growing activewear brand creating versatile, elevated pieces for women on the move. We believe in thoughtful design, community-driven storytelling, and building a brand that empowers confidence from the studio to the street. Our retail story is just getting started, and we're looking for someone to help write it. As part of our founding retail team, you'll set the standards, systems, and culture every future cheak store will be built on. You will work closely with the founders and our marketing team to ensure our customer experience in-store matches the brand they know online.

Define the cheak store experience

• Shape what a cheak store looks, sounds and feels from the moment a guest walks in
• Define what great service, product education, and operations look like, so every store delivers the same experience
• Turn our brand voice and values into clear, practical service standards that a new team member can live by from day one
• Partner with marketing on visual merchandising, in-store activations, launches and community events so every store is a gathering place, not just a till

Build the structure

• Design the retail organisation and write and own the retail operating playbook
• Create a repeatable store opening blueprint for pop-ups, permanent stores and future flagships in local and international markets
• Hire, onboard and develop store teams who genuinely live an active lifestyle and love helping other women move
• Create our retail training programme covering product and fabric knowledge, fit, styling, selling and community building
• Set the rituals that make the team feel like a team: huddles, recognition, feedback and growth conversations
• Be the standard-bearer for how we treat each other and our customers and coach store leaders to the same

Drive performance

• Own retail P&L and store targets
• Track performance across stores and offer clear actions for store teams to achieve targets
• Feed customer insight from the floor back into product, merchandising and marketing decisions
• Support new market and new site evaluation

Requirements

• 4+ years in retail with at least 2 years experience in leading a store, ideally in activewear, fashion, beauty or lifestyle
• A strong passion for fitness, sports, and wellness activities
• Experience opening stores or building retail processes from scratch, and you enjoy the ambiguity that comes with it
• A people leader first, you have hired and grown teams
• Commercially sharp, comfortable with retail KPI, labour planning and inventory and are able to turn numbers into action
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
